Jokes aside, 2 plates is not a lot of weight to be squatting after 8 months of serious squatting. IMO it's surprising that your knee would break unless it was a huge jump ahead of your previous PR.

Do your fucking PT, learn how to fucking use your legs and knees correctly, and get back into it. I threw out my back and dislocated my knee before I even started lifting. I went from having chronic pain daily and hobbling around on a cane to doing lmao bodyweight squats. I'm pain free now and intend to keep getting stronger.
Do your god damn mobility work, don't let your fucking knees cave in when you squat, and start doing bulgarian split squats.
