It does refer to volume. However, my only bench progression has involved 3x5 or 3x8, 3x6, and 3x4. I am not used to high volume, and Nuckols himself recommends to start with int med if not used to much volume, iirc.

Disc fluid leaked out because you flexed your back in a certain way which compressed it too hard and made the disc start to bulge or possibly rupture

Try this: which side is your injury on? Say it's on your left side, yeah? Stand up straight and then slowly move your right hand downwards/ move your body to the right. Only in one plane though, not forwards or backwards, just to the side

Is it even possible to lift six/seven plates as natty? I'm 183 79kg and been lifting for two years. My 1RM is three plates.

Deadlift that is. I feel like progression is just not possible for me due to my work schedule. I don't have time to eat more than 600 calories at work. I'm never hungry nor do I have time to eat anything at breakfast. The only time I'm really hungry is when I come home from work and then I'll maybe eat 1000 calories for dinner. I need to be in bed by 9pm the days I work day shifts and I don't have time to work, be in the gym for 90 minutes, eat 3500 calories and sleep eight hours. I always end up not doing one of these things and I've stalled hard. I'm guessing gear won't even fix it.

Bodyweight definitely comes into it, up until recently only a handful of 83's pull 7 plates, your a bit more likely at higher bodyweights but i still would never say its easy.

From what I've heard from some old-timers, the swedish national team used to advice sumo pullers to do the bulk of their pulling conventional to lighten the load placed on the hips. Not that it really means anything but there's more to programming than just specificity.

Im currently doing alex max every day program. Basically you go for a max at rpe 10 and then do 5x5 at rpe 9 for each lift and day plus some accessories so you end up training 3 days a week.
Im really enjoying it so far and making progress, however as most beginnerish/intermediate lifters i lack upper body mass. Im thinking about adding a fourth day where I would do some bb stuff, pullups, curls, ltes. So Id be doing squats on monday, bench on wednesday, deadlifts on friday and bb stuff on saturday. Hey guys. Im getting into this paleo thing. I like the idea of basically taking out all of the processed crap and added sugars to go almost full caveman mode. I've been lifting for a while now and have almost intermediate strenght. I know that full paleo mode is incompatible with 4 days a week strenght trainning so I wanted to ask when would be the best time to put on the carbs on trainning and off days.
Let's say a day goes like this:
-BF: Bacon and eggs with olive oil and some green tea
-Snack: 1-2 fruits (depends on the season)
-Lunch: White rice with veggies? (Pre workout)
-1 hour before workout 1 cup of coffee
-Trainning
-Post workout meal: more white rice + some fruits and fats (almonds, walnuts)?
-Dinner: Some meat, chicken or fish with salad.
-Last meal: almonds or walnuts and fruits.

And on off days cut the rice completely?

Also share any experiences with paleo

Apparently he's including way more variations these days than some years earlier. Banded work is a staple, especially for equipped lifters. Think he was inspired by Americans, maybe Westside even, tho I'm not entirely sure. Couldn't really get more gossip/info at the time.

Ed coan got me from 160 to 180 in a cycle after my deadlift not going anywhere for years so I'd say it's good. Really taxing though, felt like I was going to die for the first few sessions

The reason I said probably not good to do c6w for deadlift is that deadlifts are programmed to be done after squats and as such, the intensity is most likely lower than you can handle

I'm kind of lost as to what I want to do honestly. On one hand I may run Sheiko again w/ Ed Coan DL but on the other I'm still novice enough to make gains on a 'faster' program like C6W.

Problem is my deadlift is so abysmal I really want to run Ed Coan DL and I heard C6W is horrible for bench, so in the end I'd basically be running a different program for each different lift if I chose C6W route.
