Monday + Thursday + Sunday
>Stationary bike - 10m warmup
>push up - 5reps (want to be able to do 10, then 20 eventually)
>crunches - 10reps
>Lunges - 10reps on each leg
>pullups - 5 reps/Crunches (on alternate days)
>Stationary bike - 10m cooldown
Repeat this twice with 1 min break inbetween each excersise, and 3m water break between each workout.

Friday + Saturday

>Run - try to beat my lap time each day

>pullups - 5 reps/Crunches (on alternate days)

I meant chinups* not crunches ^^
>>
Also alternate crunches with situps and planks.

Are situps bad for the spine?
>>
>>39206520

go to the gym, do stronglifts 5x5 with dips on bench day and chin ups on deadlift day and dont be a fucking pussy.
>>
>>39206520
This is a warmup, not a workout.
>>
>>39206656
>>39206634

fuck off I want to be fit enough for bootcamp. Don't want to fuck my back up so no lifting weights for me
>>
>>39206690
Lifting weights is literally healthy for your back. Most people who injure their backs would have been safe if they had lifted.
>>
>>39206715
I'm getting all sorts of information. One side saying that if I don't have someone to check my form then I shouldn't deadlift, and another saying it's important.

I don't want to start excersising to be buff. I do want to look good but my most important stat is endurance. I need powerful legs and a powerful back. So why isn't squatting with just my bodyweight enough? Bodyweight workouts aren't a meme, aren't they?
>>
once again OP is a giagantic phaggot
>>
>>39206773
fuck off and asnwer my wrwquestion
>>
>>39206520
Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are fat and this is your first foray into fitness than any routine is better than none.
But this routine is not going to achieve any significant level of fitness gains or weight loss at this level.
How's your diet?
>>
>>39206964
I'll stay off the junk food. I eat Greek yogurt with fruit, and scrambled eggs for breakfast on weekends. Just an egg sausage breakfast weekly.

I am a fat fuck. Want to get into shape for marine bootcamp. I will literally kms if i throw out my back. I have no frends to check my form. Is there absolutely no bodyweight alternative? I definitely need to run though.
>>
>>39207102
you won't make it in the military, sorry guy.
>wanting to be a MUHREEN anyways
>>
>>39207102
Run, bike and do a full body bodyweight routine, heavy on the core exercises. Crunches instead of sit-ups. Calisthenics, cardio and bodyweight aren't a myth or a meme if your goal is to slim down and build endurance. Guys here usually want to build up their bodies so have a different goal than yours.
Get your TDEE and eat at a calorie deficit. Count your calories. Use a food scale.
Your endurance will increase as your weight decreases.

If you're getting ready for marine bootcamp run a lot, like a lot a lot. Go rucking with a heavy pack 2-3 times a week and farmer's walks 4 times a week. Do that plus some calisthenics (which should include a lot of pulls ups, push ups and crunches/sit ups) and you'll be good in like 6 months with proper nutrition and discipline.

Read the sticky.

A properly performed strength program will improve your endurance and everything else. It won't make you as "buff" as a hypertrophy routine.

Do it for a while and see if running doesn't get easier.

If you're scared of deadlifting, don't do it I guess, but it's a pretty easy move.
