I wish I had this article I read from a Serbian or a Bosnian or somebody who lived through the war and the collapse of society. His main points were not to be alone, and to have valuable skills. He said that no matter how prepared anyone was, if they were alone other people came and killed them for whatever they had. And also that supplies always run out but shit like medical knowledge never does.

Also be prepared to see your loved ones shit to death.
