If he always does forced reps, I see no problem
>that guy that spots you and doesn't help you do forced reps but just lifts it entirely at the first sign of struggle
>>39195680
Fuck I hate that shit. I hate having to explain how spotting works. Yesterday was on the bench and asked a guy to spot me(was only guy at the gym that day) he had his fucking hands on the bar lifting up prob 20-30% of the weight, I was so pissed I didn't even want to finish my sets, butt did it any way and he did the same shit, fuck it guess I'm doing the same weight tomorrow

>that guy that asks for a spot and insists that I help doing most of the reps

>That dyel that doesn't track his baby lifts
lmao
Do you not like seeing improvement every week? The best is looking back a month or two and see if you've progressed.
>>39195652
i never ask for spot because i suck at social interaction so i just started doing 4x4 instead of 3x5
I have no friends and no social skills - can I get by without ever being "spotted", or will I look like an idiot learning the ropes myself? Gym membership starting up Nov 1.

>It's always for insane bullshit like 3+ pl8 bench
Fuck off nigger, you just saw me moving baby weight around you know I can't help you.

You are a DYEL

It will be a little difficult learning by yourself. Try and go outside of your comfort zone and ask some questions. Just don't ask when they are in the middle of a set
>>39196397
Spotters are for forced reps which are typically only useful for intermediate/advanced lifters
>>39196397
Also record yourself if possible, analyze your movements or post here so we can critique

>that guy who rows the bar the entire time
>'all u brah all u'
>'u could've done 5 more good job'

i always ask for spot on bench since 155 forward. i could do a roll of shame but why risk it when you can stay perfectly safe with a spotter?
it's not like spotters care how much weight you have on unless it's too much
