A place to discuss any and all ways, both mentally, physically and spiritually.

What are you current goals?
How are you going to achieve them?
What are the best things you've done for yourself?
How far have you come?

Any and all discussion relating to the topic welcome.
>>
>What are you current goals?

30 - 60 minutes of exercise at least five days per week

>How are you going to achieve them?

Adjust diet, limit time online.

>What are the best things you've done for yourself?

Drinking a protein shake right when I wake up because I usually don't eat breakfast, but drinking my calories makes it easier.

>How far have you come?

Not as far as I'd like.
>>
If I do all of these things, I generally have much more energy/happiness:

1) exercise at least once a day (anything from going to gym, running, hiking)

2) eat healthy (no sugar, limit simple carbs/processed foods like white bread, snacks, fries, etc.)

3) nofap/no porn
>>
1. Work at least 35 hours a week.
2. Learn music production/adobe illustrator/Maya/zbrush/PS at least 3 hours a day.
3. Gym 3 times a week, doing SS with accessories.
4. Stretch/roll 20 min a day.
5. Take all my supps every day.
6. Eat as much as possible, train myself to drink milk over time.
7. Limit my dabbing to only after gym 3 times a week.

Hard goals senpaitachi desu
>>
>>39155613
>What are you current goals?
Begin new eating plan, TDEE - 500
Gym 3x week
>How are you going to achieve them?
One day at a time. I'm out of patience with being a lazy chub, feelsbadman.
>What are the best things you've done for yourself?
Renewed gym membership, cleared the house of unhealthy food this week, started lurking here to see if girls can get some inspiration too. I'm thinking yes so far, idk why other boards say /fit/ hates women or doesn't like us to post here.
>How far have you come?
Just starting.
>Any and all discussion relating to the topic welcome.
Newfam, I'm tired of being out of shape and sick of making excuses about it. I want to start on the road to getting lean and fit.
>>
>What are you current goals?
Stick to my 25% deficit (i could stand to lose 100lbs), keep up my basic barbell shit to gain some definition while losing this shit

>How are you going to achieve them?
Marathon mentality, qt gf support, thinking of that feeling I get when I work out

>What are the best things you've done for yourself?
Built a solid relationship, just signed on to a new job - first salaried position

>How far have you come?
lost 40lbs last year, got some major IT certifications, got hot gf despite 100lbs overweight.

Feelsgoodman. /fit/ is great
>>
>>39155640
>30 - 60 minutes of exercise at least five days per week

lmao, what is this based on?
>>
>>39157858
Preference.
>>
>What are you current goals?

Get stronger, get richer, get smarter

>How are you going to achieve them?

Eating heaps and training hard, reading a hell of a lot more, going to grad school next year

>What are the best things you've done for yourself?

Gym. Far and away the best thing I have done in my life.

>How far have you come?

It feels like a lot, but it's just the tip of the iceberg.
>>
Self creation through depriving myself of vices
>>
- Avoiding 4chan and internet for 3months made my mild anxiety go away. Now i only come here for like 20 minutes to look a few threads i like and that aren't full of hate and sad people arguing.

- I want to marry my gf. I will save money until that.

- I want to snatch 100kg at the end of this year
>>
>>39155613
Dunno if this is the right thread ot nah but w/ever. Lost over 140 pound and I got an appointment with a plastic surgeon next friday. My doctor says im a perfect candidate for skin surgery on the NHS so I can get it for free. Fuck I hope so cause I put in all this hard work to lose the weight and then to be stuck with the skin is such a confidence killer.
>>
>>39158205
Let us know how it goes. I'm sure you aren't the only one facing this problem so keep us updated. Good luck!
>>
>What are you current goals?
having more structure in life, e.g. find a job, workout more regularly, wake up early regularly. Having a life despite some mental issues
>How are you going to achieve them?
slowly growing into it, upping it. or what do you say? I am still kinda pussy.
>What are the best things you've done for yourself?
slowly finishing my degree, having more social life, doing therapy.
How far have you come?
>Not as far as I'd like and I'm almost 26
>>
>>39155613

I'm seriously thinking about surgical options for muh double chin.

Since I've been working out, I've gone from terribly obese to, well, not a six pack, but reasonable. Except this fucking ballsack below my chin.

I have a female friend who is, to be honest, very unattractive. She wants to get married and start a family, but men ignore her. I told her she should lose weight, wear make up, and wear more form-fitting clothing, but she is a very conservative Christian and refuses to do so. She is a virgin and wants a Christian husband who is also a virgin.

Of course, I told her that she should beeee herself :3 and a Christian man will eventually marry her, but is this true? Will religious men love her despite her appearance?

If not, how can I help my friend self-improve her dating life, but in religious-friendly ways?
>>
>>39158508

She's right about not dressing like a slut. That's not going to make men want to marry her, just pump and dump her.

If she loses weight she will be fine.

>who is also a virgin.

She's going to have serious problems here

All this bitch needs to do is lose weight

Your advice about clothing is so bad dude.

You shouldn't offer advice if you don't know what you are talking about desu senpai
>>
>>39158508
basically tell her what you already told her, i can't see any other way around that...
>>
>>39158449
Fat dissolving injections (fairly new), liposuction, ultherapy (RF waves). There are a few non-surgical options. Ymmv.
>>
>>39158538
Are you saying that if she lost weight, she would be wife material to you?

What is your rebuttal if she says you only like her for her looks, and not her personality?
>>
Has anybody got any ideas on escaping a psych ward? It's horrible for my fitness. I feel I'm turning into a blob in here.

>What are you current goals?
Getting my life back on track - or rather getting my days back on track. I train regularly, have a small job and a gf, but I seem to just drift by and am neither really enjoying anything nor seem to be heading in a certain direction. I feel like a spectator of my own life and I don't like it.
I have become to much of a normie I guess, just going through the grind.

>How are you going to achieve them?
Be more conscious of what I am doing. Less playing of WoW, no more fapping to porn, more cardio, smiling more.
I made a monthly goal plan yesterday and will go from there. Nothing is set in stone but it helps getting a clearer picture.

>What are the best things you've done for yourself?
Forcing myself to do shit despite not wanting to.

>How far have you come?
Not far yet, but small steps will add up over time.
>>
>>39158605

Honestly, I've dated a girl that looked like an instragram model , and I hated her and didn't leave her because I was so enamored with her looks, and she hated me and didn't leave me because we had great sexual chemistry and both were into rapeplay/DDLG/rough sex.

Terrible relationship. Huge fights 3x per day.

And I dated a girl that was not attractive and it was a great relationship and we got along great.

So I don't even care about how the bitch's face looks like at this point, as long as they are not fat.

Of course, my rebuttal if I was asked by her wouldn't be 'I banged hot girl and ugly broads like u before lol'

It would be "If I didn't like both I wouldn't be with you".

As far as wife material, assuming we got along, sure.
>>
>What are you current goals?
Lose another 40 lbs

>How are you going to achieve them?
Strict calorie counting (TDEE - ~700kcal), moderate bodyweight and barbell exercises 4-5 days a week, 3-4 miles of walking 5 days a week (want to start running at some point)

>What are the best things you've done for yourself?
Taken the first steps towards a healthier lifestyle.

>How far have you come?
45 lbs in ~7 months
>>
>>39158544
I feel bad for her. She really really wants to get married, but no one have expressed interest in her, even for a first date.
>>
>>39158642
Why did you ask out the unattractive girl in the first place? What drew you to her? I'm asking so maybe my friend can do the same thing.
>>
>>39158651
well I mean tell her to lose weight, wear makeup, get a fashion sense etc.
MOST good looking people (even if religious) don't follow their religion's fashion advice...
>>
>>39158665

>Why did you ask out the unattractive girl in the first place? What drew you to her?

I dunno. She seemed really cute and innocent and she did all this cute straight out anime stuff like blushing and looking at the floor and stuttering and etc etc

She uh, she was also good at holding a conversation. She asked me questions instead of just answering whatever I asked and then letting me come up with another topic.

It didn't feel like a hassle to talk to her, some girls, you talk to them, and it feels like actual work ya know?

I would caution her trying to emulate the anime grill stuff because it might come across as forced or cringe if it's not genuine
>>
>>39155613
>What are you current goals?
I'm around 98kg (216lbs), end goal is 80kg (176lbs)
>How are you going to achieve them?
Low impact cardio in the morning, jogging in the evening 5x a week. Other than going for a run randomly once or twice a week, I haven't been doing any exercises at all, it's time to start, no idea how effective it will be. Also less beer no ordering pizza at midnight whilst drunk
>What are the best things you've done for yourself?
Low-carb did wonders
>How far have you come?
Lost about 20kg (44lbs) in a year.
>>
>>39155640
> Drinking a protein shake right when I wake up because I usually don't eat breakfast, but drinking my calories makes it easier.

I do the same thing bro. Jump out of bed and throw some whey and milk in a shaker and I'm good to go.

I used to fuck around with 3 egg + 2 egg whites scrambled w/ toast. Shit took too long

I've been bouncing a ball of my garage wall for an indeterminate time every day. To work on hand eye coordination and martial arts stance and footwork with a reactive stimulus.

It's been beyond effective for this. I started off rarely catching the ball and getting decent cardio chasing it. Now I'm fastballing two balls at very slight intervals and catching and throwing them at a steady rythm. Really satisfying fun.

I've read two books recently that really helped me appreciate this sort of exercise first Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. Honestly best nonfiction book I've ever read. I read it once. Studied a second time and will quote it for the rest of my life and secondly Tao of Jeet Kune Do. Bruce Lee's book.

Both got me thinking at length about mastering the unconcentrated mind and how to operate 'without thinking'.

You see I want to get into meditation but I never can but with exercises like this I can very easily reach a point of meditation in action. Which seems much more valuable to me.

Trying to eat more too.

>How far have you come?
So far 15kgs in, read a couple books and soon to start learning my first piece on the piano, don't know what it'll be though. Either way my teacher is saying I'm advancing pretty fast even for an adult student

New to gym?
You'll probably be pumped for a few weeks, then get a bit depressed and lose motivation. Hit me at exactly week 3. At this point you're not seeing the gainz you want and gym isn't a habit. Just stick through it.

Similar story at 3 months. Some moderate gainz but something will come along (moving house, new job whatever) and you'll miss a few days and your mind will play tricks on you. Just force yourself to go.

I got through both (having failed in the past) by forcing myself to physically go to the gym, even if I don't have time/motivation to lift (i.e. walk/drive there. Check in. Just stand in the gym 10 mins and then leave). Just keep the practice of physically going to the location. Maybe other anons have better ways.

Good luck brah.
>>
>>39159842
good luck on your interviews! Even tough you may not like the job you might be able to fuck some qt3.14 office workers and you'll have swole money.
>>
How to be confident and be yourself all the time?

I'm confident and sociable when I'm around people who I think are lower or equal to me on the social food chain, but I turn in to an autist when I talk to people who I see as higher than me on the social food chain.

Example. A few hours ago I was sitting in my buddy's apartment after a pregame. Everybody else had left. It was just me, a hot girl, and a mutual friend of ours. I was alright at casual small talk but couldn't joke with her like our friend was doing with her. The moment she leaves I'm joking and bullshitting with the friend who was still there.

Why can't I do this with girls I like
>>
>>39159866
I've been going through the same thing. I just started bulking a month or two ago and for the past two weeks my testosterone has been through the roof. All I think about all day is sex, is like being 17 again.

Acquire general competence. You do that by facing and eliminating your flaws instead of drowning in passive enterntainment and other easy pleasures.

If you do that with intrinsic motivation, you won't fall into that trap anymore.
>>
Tryna quit fapping over kinky shit.

Only gonna fap to the feeling now, no imagination or porn.

Tried it earlier and it makes you crave visual stimulus like mad, the good thing is it made me crave any stimulus not just kinky shit.
>>
>>39159842
Good luck.

Don't worry too much about hating the job. Treat it as a exercise in managing time, learning what your bosses want, dealing with co-workers, managing fuck-ups etc.

These are super-important skills even if actual role itself is boring.

Good luck!

Don't have office romances.

Most of the women are doing it for the thrill of doing something "wrong" and aren't really interested in you, or are testing to see if you're stupid enough to harm your career for her (she thinks it mean's she's amazing).

Only outcome is lawsuits, being fired, other staff hating you. Not worth it.

If you can't get qt3.14 outside of work, there's a problem when girl at your work suddenly wants you.

If you can get qt3.14 out of work, there's no reason to risk it.

Current goals

Get over ex. Make lifting a part of my regular routine. Get my house done up. Find a decent job.
How are you going to achieve them
Time for the ex, I got what I deserved in the end though.
Just hit the gym with some mates every other day so I have a commitment to go until it sinks into me properly.
No idea about the job so far, I was thinking of joining a landscaping company since it's one of the few things I enjoy.
House is going to have to wait a while, I'm too broke to do much right now and I'm thinking of moving out into the country,
Best things I've done for myself, loose a lot of weight since the start of the year, start meditating, start cardio.
I've came a long way since the start of this year. I was on track to become a chubby idiot who just wastes his life away doing nothing but now I've got a load of freinds, some hobbies, grades are improving. I'm nowhere near where I wanted to be this year though, I've not come far enough yet but I've got all the preperation done I guess, by March I'll be looking decent and then I've just gotta push for everything else.

before you report me for being underage, I am 18, I'm a senior in high school
