Seriously though 2-3 months is not that bad at all if you've been lifting for at least 2 years consistently.
I had a surgery and had to take 3 months off and i don't think i lost any strength. I actually felt a bit stronger since i might've been over training.
The best thing you can do is to adjust your diet so you won't gain unnecessary fat. Also don't eat too little because then you'll lose muscle.
