Why do people recommend SS/SL for beginners?
Is it because creating a strength base is important ?
Then there are people saying after creating a strength base u should switch to hypertrophy while some people say strength training is still better for hypertrophy.
What's the redpill?
Because you ain't gonna get big benching 1pl8 nigga
>redpill
lmao
the reason people suggest SS/SL is because for beginners, lower rep training tends to yield equivalent hypertrophy to higher rep training, but you progress faster and thus gain more strength
the most important thing though is just eat a fuckload, sleep a lot, and lift consistently. Routine is secondary

Whats a better routine if I can't eat a fuckload? I started at 100kgs now at 80 kgs and ideal weight is 70kg so got 10kgs to go. I'm eating 2000cals/day
Basically what routine should I do for fat loss?
>>39109725
why is your ideal weight 70kg? That's way too low unless you're like 5'2''
fat loss is more about continuing to lift, doing enough cardio, and sticking to your calorie goals. The routine doesn't matter, so long as you're not expecting to get any stronger.

I'm 5'10. I'm not expecting my lifts to increase, just maintaining is enough. Currently at 40/60/90/100 kgs
Pic is how I look. I've read that I should cut down to 10percent bodyfat before I can bulk

>Why do people recommend SS/SL for beginners?
because it makes you significantly bigger and stronger in just a few months of training. most of the alternatives involve spinning your wheels for a few months.

cutting down to 10% is tough and probably not a great use of time. Those lifts aren't much for 'maintaining' either
>>39109801
So what would you recommend? Bulking?
>>39109811
caloric maintenance while your lifts go up and re-evaluate from there, but then if I were in your shoes I'd be trying to get swole rather than abs, so it's up to you
80kg at 5'10'' is a reasonable start point

it won't really work like you think. getting to 10% usually means losing a bunch of muscle mass and it's not something you can easily maintain, so when you start eating again you'll put on fat relatively quickly until you're at a more normal bf%. if I were you I'd clean up my diet, start eating for strength/mass gains and worry about cutting when you have a decent amount of muscle mass. you shouldn't increase your bf% in the process, but your body weight should go up.

So you suggest a slow clean bulk.
Thanks.

High intensity workouts, super sets, triple sets, minimal rest in between, sprints
