Trying to get quicker under the bar.
I'm liking this time away from PL actually. I know there's about a 0% chance I won't be back to training PL by the start of the new year, but I like what I'm doing right now. Very low pressure. And I'm still acclimating to my new schedule with a lot more work than I'm used to so this helps me to be a bit more flexible, meaning less stress.
Remember to take some time off occasionally guys. Maybe not 2-3 months like I'm doing, but give yourself a few weeks here and there.

I'd certainly like to see you lift if possible, but I'm not sure the best way to go about doing that. I think I have about a 3 hr drive to get there unfortunately.

There are a couple possibilities, one is that my school's weightlifting club will actually pay for it and might pay for transportation night before (that would be awesome), another is that we just drive there in the morning or afternoon in which case I would miss you lifting and in the last case I just drive myself there by renting a car, either the day of or the day before, and get my own hotel if the day before.

IDK what to do rn but i definitely dont think I wanna drive 6 hours in one day by myself.

You could do Nuckols. You could do another program altogether. I'd say the easy gains on your turtle from SQ/DL gains are worth staying with Candito for another cycle or two, it's literally "try harder, the program" there. I don't know what the fuck he was thinking with the bench programming though. Nuckols, Hepburn, any three-day DUP with some heavier work and some volume would be fine.

I started out doing "strict" spotoshot, but life has been getting in the way, and going to the gym has been a way for me to destress, so I've kind of been going as often as I want....

It's been like squat 2x a week and add 5 lbs each session, do the spoto and shot each 2x a week, and deadlift once or twice per week and if I wanna do soemthing on another day (upper back, bb, active recovery, pressing) I'll just do it. pretty yolo but also really fun. havent had as much fun lifting in awhile.

I made 10 lb increases on my ID deadlift and squat for awhile before I had to give it up and I switched programs. Really just tried harder and it worked tbqh.
