I bought a new training mask for my cardio workout. Sadly i didn't pay a lot attention when i placed the order. Right after i opened the package i noticed strong rubber smell wich i think is an indicator for lots of plasticizers in the material. The mask is made in china but is labeled as 'Food grade silicone materials'. Is mask safe to use or will it fuck up my health?

i compete in boxing and a lot of experienced fighters in my gym use masks like this. They told me they noticed a huge difference in their endurance since it conditions your muscles to function better with less oxygen.
