neck strength and exercises are a pretty legit thing for atheletes
football is the first sport that comes to mind
wrestler's bridge. start at 1 minute and do it every night. every week add 30 seconds onto your time until you make it to 5 total minutes. then just continue to do it for the rest of your life.

I saw crazy trap gains when I joined the Army and wore a heavy-ass kevlar helmet everywhere.
Once I left the military though, the only way to keep the gains without looking like a retard wearing a helmet 24/7 was to cautiously wear weighted hats.

do neck bridges: tuck your chin like you're trying to make a moderate double-chin (really n+1-chin where n is the number of chins you have already you fat fuck), rest your head on the bench, hold a bridge, progress by doing light db bench in this position.
