At some point, shouldn't you give up on squats and deadlifts if you can't do it pain free? I've spent years trying to do these lifts pain free, I think my form looks good enough but still pain. I can't keep trying to fix my form when it keep exacerbating physical issues when my form looks fine to me. Many highly qualified coaches agree that not everyone should do these lifts whereas the meme around this shithole is everyone has to.
Okay so now what? When I pickup this dead/squat like device I can do a little bit of both movements in one, without ever needing to even think about pain from my form because I'm 100% pain free. Why on earth would I keep doing deadlifts and squats when they cause me pain no matter what I do? At some point you have to look elsewhere or risk long term damage. This is where trap bar comes in. And I'd argue that unless you take to deads and squats like a fish to water immediately, then a beginner would be better off starting with trap bar.
And trap bar isn't just a beginner lift either. See here:

trab baru
Do what you want. You can look good and be strong without deads and squats.
Just don't be that guy who says he deadlifts 200kg when in reality he's using a trap bar.
I like the trap bar but it seems to tear up my handsg more than any other lift. Might just be a pussy and wear gloves in future

yeah it always cracks me up when i see "500lb deadlift" click the link and they didn't bother mentioning it was a trap bar. different lift.

you grip it properly like you would a barbell then i don't see why it would. use straps if it's too heavy or build grip strength with it.

dude, there's like at least 5 common variations of deadlifts, have you tried playing with those?
There's nothing wrong with trap bar except that I've yet to see a gym that has it. It's not like I've been to too many gyms, but probably like 10 different gyms

yeah i've done them all. conventional deadlift really shreds my hamstrings but i get low back pain no matter what i do and i only get back pain from it and i've done everything. sumo deadlift hurts my hips. trap bar is awesome. i feel good doing it. i'm gonna give rack pulls a try again soon. i got low back pain while i was doing them last time but i think it was from tightness in my butt.
Would using this shit be similar to doing farmer squats with DB's? I do them on leg day and it hurts my quads so good.

have you tried making stiffer DL?

Tried jefferson? That's really close to trap bar one.
do what you want to do but if you cant do regular DLs or squats without pain, there's something wrong.
with trap bad DLs, youre avoiding the problem instead of fixing it. chances are the problem will come back to you in some way later on
