Instead i recommend a push/pull routine with a caloric deficit (calculate your caloric demand and weight your fucking meals lazy fuck) where you go for heavy sets with like ~5-6 reps

Lifting 3-4x a week will help you more than cardio. If you absolutely must do cardio, just do a light 10min run for a warmup before you lift.
Also eat more protein if you start to lift, and get on creatine.
