I got my PhD last year and work as a research scientist. I get enough of a mental workout with my job, so I spend most of my free time trying to let my mind rest. Lifting and browsing /fit/ help with that!

Dna brah how did you manage your time? Did you follow the same routine week to week, working out at a certain time, doing phd work during certain parts of the day?
Did you have a fixed schedule for your work or did you live in the lab working round the clock and squeezing in gym sessions was your only distraction/ escape
>>39004623
>doing brain equivalent to calinesthenics

Enjoy your no gainz, pleb
I play video games? Seems to work well as I'm significantly more intelligent than everyone I meet.
Anyone knows where I can find this shit for less of 200 bucks?

i do it by studying Mathematics at a level where it is mostly rote memorization and earning a stem degree which allows me to get a job where my autism isn't an impediment to me getting a 60k/year McJob where i can be an unpleasant friendless loser for the rest of my life while posting online.

Stay salty, man!

Dude, I gotta be honest. I put on a ton of weight in grad school. Got married right before I went in for my Master's, and just got lazy/stressed. I wish I could say that I was fit and active while I was in school, but in reality, when I wasn't in class or in the lab, I was sitting on the couch. Once I got my doctorate and got a "real job," I decided it was time for a change, so I started cutting at the beginning of this year. Dropped a ton of weight and I feel like a totally different person now.

Still works your brain plenty enough.
I do visualization techniques
I visualize myself doing deadlifts, squats, bench press, weight pullups
as intensely as I can, imagining my life depends on those lifts
imaging myself lifting weights much much heavier than I can handle, thinking about how heavy they feel etc
very vivid visualization
visualization has been proven by tons of studies to literally increase strength almost as much as actual weight training
>>39006635
Ochem 1 and Biochem are pretty easy.
