Can anyone on /fit/ actually do a pistol squat? If so how long did it take for you to progress to a full pistol squat?

no i cant

Yeah its easy honestly I can rep them and go below parallel if im on a box, but never trained them so I dont know how long it would take to get there. If you can squat 2pl8 you could probably do a few.
I've been able to do then since before I started lifting. I've always been athletic though

It took a couple months, but then again I only do calisthenics kek. Bodyweight squat to bulgarian split squat to beginner shrimps to pistols
I can, but I had to stretch for a few months to get the flexibility

I can. I did it first time at 15years old on my toes. Once i built up the strength it took me a few months to get it on my heels. After that it just gets easy.
That said at 15 ive been training taekwondo for several years already so its not like i started from nothing. I still do them because its very good for balance and mobility, not so much for brute strength.
I don't have the flexibility to even come close. Anyone have the progression image for them?
I've never done one because it has a retarded name

Desu desu desu desu desu senpai.
I tried to do one once and was immediately able to do like 5
I could do many before I started lifting. I climb ladders for my job and ride bicycles recreationally.
I have been able to do atleast one ever since I was 14, however there was a point in my life when I got drunk alot between 17 and 19 when I got fat and once asked, I could not do a single one.
Nowdays I'm fine again, I'm 26 and could probably do 10 per leg even before I wake up properly.
If you can squat 1xBW you should have the strength to do a pistol squats. Also takes some practice to find the balance, so try assisted pistol squats first where you hold yourself somewhere with one hand

i could do pistol squats before i could even squat 1pl8
practice them while holding on to something
