I strained my pec about a week ago and tried to go in two days later to bench and 135 barely even aggravated it. Just kind of weird to think about because I was at your stage at one point.

Not OP, but I'm also a fatty losing weight, and my lifts are going nowhere slowly, and I'm having trouble figuring out what to do so that 6 months from now I haven't wasted my time.
Cardio has improved in spades though, so it's better than nothing

Form is important but not to the extent that it restricts you from ratcheting up the intensity. If youre doing a 3x10 or 3x12 add some weight and move it down to 3x8. Dont do 5x5, that is for faggots.

Basically you want to be in a maintain phase. Eating enough to be at a healthy weight and able to slowly build muscle. You probably don't want to go straight into cut mode if you're after strength gains too.

Bruh. Try hammer grip dumbbell ohp and bench. Look it up. Helped me through a plateau. Also make sure you're doing full rom ohp. That last 10% lockout is important as hell.

This is because you are cutting. Deload if u want to. My main goal is fat loss so I don't care how much I lift.
