all this information was taken from their personal journals and interviews

I generally go to bed around 1-2am, I'll wake up at about 4-5am for half an hour or so, and then sleep until 8-9am when I have to get up for work.

When I wake up at 4-5am I'm rested enough to start the day, but since I have no need to be up and about, I'll generally just go to the toilet, check my emails and go back to sleep.

ZMA is a wonder for sleep quality and I don't think I'll ever not take it.
>>
Usually go to bed at 10 and get up at 6, keep a strict schedule so I fall asleep fast and wake up well rested like 80% of the time.
>>
>>38997318

I sleep from 10-4:30 and then take two 20 minute naps throughout the day.
>>
>>38997532
Why would you wake up @4:30?
>>
>>38997318
Fuck this pisses me off
>>
>>38997639
why?
>>
>>38997639
Me too man

These people are all autistic savants
>>
>>38997318
Could a more relaxed version of Da Vinci and Edison's method work? I'm thinking 2 hrs at night with naps interspersed throughout the rest of the day
>>
>>38997415
can you tell me more about ZMA? How does it compare to melatonin?
>>
none of these people lift for gains. They don't require sleep
>>
>>38997318
6 to 7 hours, unless I am busy, then 4.
>>
>>38997318
This picture is 100% bullshit. No one can last on 4 hours or less of sleep for more than a week.

>thinking successfull people with purpose actually sleep less than 8 hours

lmao this is just propaganda for the unfulfilled wageslaves who eat this shit like 100%
>>
>>38998570
>>38998617

it's almost like different people need different things? 8 hours was proven bullshit years ago.
>>
>>38997318

I generally get about 7-8 hours of sleep each night. I used to be a real night owl, but ever since I got a "real job," I'm in bed by about 11 and up at 7, even on the weekends.
>>
>>38998617
>propaganda
>8 hours of sleep

Are you self aware
>>
>>38997318
about 6-7 hours/night. ideally 8, so i compensate by taking light 20-30 naps during lunch breaks.
>>
>>38997318
can you still get big if you sleep 4 hours a day?
>>
>>38997318
>trump only sleeps 3 hours a night
Is this true? Are most of these true? I don't see how that's possible.

Someone should edit in a hillary sleep schedule.
>>
>>38998807
he says 90 minutes - 4 hours. Never more than 4

Fug

I get around 7 hours, can I bump it down to 6 with a midday nap and make the same gainz?
>>
>>38998837
except they are all accurate based on personal journals and interviews. also you ignored bbc as the first source. quick google search could have prevented you looking like such a fool
>>
>>38998773
Not even remotely.

You could be obese at best
>>
>>38997700
Not in the long run. I've tried all kinds of sleep cycles. It really takes a toll on you. Nothing beats 5+ hours of direct REM sleep
>>
sleep 9 hours a day usually
>>
>>38998807
Hillary slept through calls about Benghazi, so she obviously has a very disciplined sleep schedule.
>>
>>38997318
That image doesn't relate to /fit/ at all. LeBron James said he sleeps 12 hours a night. Most athletes sleep a lot.
>>
>>38998570
Don does only sleep 3 hours though.
>>
>>38997318
Six hours exactly. Any more and I feel groggy for the day. Any less has the same effect.
>>
>>38997318
I sleep 4 - 7 hours a day.
Go to bed at 3-5am, wake up at 10 or 12.
>>
>>38998628
>>38998659

if i could i would sleep 14 hours a day or even more

being asleep is better than being awake anyway, being awake fucking sucks, the best days of my week are those who i have that big fucking dream that surpasses every experience i have in real life
>>
>>38999924
maybe you're depressed
>>
>>38999935

never

just accept it, sleep is so fucking good

in fact, i'm going to sleep right now instead of waiting for the (you)
>>
>>38999924
I know the feeling senpai, it's called depression.
>>
>>38997318
What kind of pussy ass shitty ass image is this

>Barack Obama
>he done cherishes the time he does sleep

What..

>>38999480
Watch any
>Day in the life

of an athlete, they even take naps during the day. I remember watching one of JLin and he took a nap right before a game then woke up an hour before so he can get ready
>>
You need to sleep big to get big.

I imagine you put up a bunch of athletes and fitness icons and they would all at very minimum sleep 6 hours if not more than 9 every day.
>>
4-5 hours during the week 6-8 during the weekend.

Can be rough during the week. But I can get a bit of napping in sometimes when I'm lucky and it doesn't fuck up my night time sleep
>>
>>39000307
>>39000259
athletes aren't important and contribute nothing to humanity save for entertainment
>>
>>39000652
I agree. Athletes are only good for making 90 year old Jewish billionaires even richer. Although, I would argue that entertainment is needed in society. Either way, we're on /fit/, so of course it's implied that a topic about sleep is about how sleep affects /fit/ness.

Bed at 9pm, up at 5am, 7 days a week.
>>
>>38997318

That's not what davinci did, it's a myth.

Im catching up now for reasons but I normally sleep 3-4 hours. And I prefer 2x2 hours.

I would love more, I just can't and don't need it.
>>
>>38997318

You know what they all had in common?

they were all DYEL.
>>
I work as an IB analyst and learned to live on little sleep. I wish I was 10-14 again.
>>
>>38997415
huh, this is how people slept back in the older days. it was called "second sleep"

you usually woke up in the middle of the night and fucked around for an hour and went back to bed
>>
>>39000845

>wake up in the middle of the night and fuck.

They knew what was up.
>>
>>39000861
>It was accepted that between this first bout of slumber and the next there would lie an hour or so of quiet wakefulness, sometimes known as a "watch". This period was often used for prayer, or writing, or sex

You're not wrong
>>
>>38997318
Sleep 9.30-10 pm.
Wake up 5.30 am

Power nap 15 minutes in metro each way
Sometimes nap 1.5 hours on nonlifting day

ALWAYS nap on non working days.

Gains are through the roof.

Have gone from 135kgx5 to 155kgx6 on intensity days non stop in 10 weeks.
>>
>>38997318
From 23:00 to 6:45
Which should be 7 hours and 45 minutes.

In weekends and whenever I have time I sleep from 24:00 to 8:00.
>>
>>39000886
Get ready for dat sweet sweet tendonitis bby
>>
>>38997318
>tfw to go bed between 22:30-23pm and wake up at 7:20pm
>feel ok and get through the day despite wanting to sleep more when I wake up

is this enough? should I be getting fully 9 hours? I'm 20y old
even at weekends I keep the same schedule, or if I go to bed 1 hour later I wake up 1 hour later as well.

In like 9 months I'll take on parents business so my sleep will probably have to be lower and this worries me since I need at least 8h of sleep

Summer period is where I do intermittent fasting, not sleep a lot and generally be mentally productive. Also enjoy the weather and sun.

During the colder half of the year I go working out and sleep and eat a lot more. More cocoon mode.

Just try to go with the seasons.Getting up insanely early during cold dark winter months just doesn't work that well. Just like going to bed early in summer sucks.

>>39000652
It's not about what's important to mankind. If you feel like being a world record holder will give your life purpose then go for it. For Athleticism you just need a lot more sleep, while if you do intellectual work not sleeping so much gets a lot more work done.
