Lateral raises, facepulls and OHP, maybe incline BB pressing.
I'm particularly fond of doing lateral raises in a landmine or with a barbell pinned in the corner, for a mixture of front and lateral head work. Feels good, even hits the core a little bit, it's nice to superset with side planks or something

Anyone see good results with y-raises? Saw them on EXRX the other day, thought they'd be fun, but I don't have the proper equipment for them.

Posted this in another thread, but it was kind of dying so I'm posting here.

In order to build nice shoulders, what is generally recommended; heavy weight low reps, or lighter weight high reps?

I follow Jim Stopanni's workout program and while I've made some nice noob gains, I find it slightly uncomfortable/strenuous on my wrists/rotator cuff when I lift 30lbs for side/front raises. According to this plan, it's supposed to be 5 reps. My shoulders look slightly nicer, but nothing too great yet.

Am I wasting my time?

I've recently started incorporating this exercise and I'm liking it so far. I'm currently doing 75 lbs for 5 reps, 3 sets with one set to drop set. It was a little easier than I expected, but I'm not sure what's a realistic place to be at.
