the sad thing about skinnyfats is that noob gains alone can make them look like they're making progress towards their goal. But they can't handle sticking to a consistent workout plan in addition to eating clean so they never get there.
I'm a former chubbyfat who dropped 45 lbs this year. Now I look like a skinnyfat with a bit of muscle mass.
Whether I hit ottermode or beyond is anyone's guess, but lifting + nutrition has gotten me this far so I don't see why not.

I just came back to fit because I wanted to shitpost with likeminded people, and I decided to take fitness a bit more seriously again a few days ago. I used to be around here a lot.

Here's a very old picture compared to an old picture of me. I'm a bit less lean but I think a bit bigger right now than the pic on the right.

But this year I think I'm going to really feel okay with my progress.

I was skinny with no definition though, I've never been one of those skinny guys who naturally see their abs or veins etc.

Went from 506lbs, 6'2" obesefat at 17 to 206lbs at 8% bodyfat (lowest I'd ever been) at 20. Closest aproximation would have been ripped/athletic on that chart. Currently 24 ( builtfat by that chart) due to 2 years of office job and neglecting my cardio.

Well, according to the golden ratio, Steve Reeves & Joe Weider scales, my proportions are generally pretty good. Need a few inches on chest and arms but the big thing is I've got 4-5 inches on my waist I need to lose and my big obliques which I got from running contribute to the love handles look so my abdominal area looks like shit and dwarfs my chest.
Compared to the builtfat guy in the picture, I've got bigger lats and my shoulders are more rounded; have barely any fat on my arms as well, so that's why I said builtfat/athletic hybrid. Generally muscular with a layer of shitty fat right around the middle. Not saying my diet's been perfect (it hasn't), but that makes enough sense to me.
