rate my home gym ok
Roof or rust ur choice
>>38987041
Roof is coming. I take the adjustable dumbbels inside before it rains.
2/10 - missing the 8 points due to:
- no mirrors
- no treadmill for early am cardio on steep incline
- not enough plates
- no ashtray on the squat rack
- no hawt females to stare at
- no gym bros to give neck rubs to
- no arnie motivational posters
Would train there unwillingly
>>38987109
Lol. There's 1 mirror at the back. I have a rowing machine for cardio inside the house. And I got two gym bros that I train there.
When it gets the walls and ceiling up, I will have arnie posters on the walls and hawt females to "instruct" in here.

Looks comfy
>>38987022
10/10
would break my back in it
There is so much unnecessary lumber being used.

>>38987158
Noice. Pic related is my gains in my home gym.
>>38987175
It has got to be structural though.
>>38987128
Ah yep I see the mirror now.. nice

Mirin those traps
>>38987214
You need a larger space and a lot more equipment. But going by how little you can incline bench press. The equipment you have now is sufficient until you're an advanced lifter like me.
>>38987230
Cheers bro
>>38987234
i have more 6 45 plates in the back, i just dont keep them on the bar when im not using it
im scared it will bend hte bar i dunno if thats dumb tho
>>38987258
6 45s will bend the bar under load, and then the bar will snap back to it's normal self.
When I squat 8 45s, I can get the bar flopping around on my back, sagging like fuck (standard barbell 2m long). Then when I rack it, and take the weights off, the bar is normal straightness.
>>38987214
How the fuck do you keep the erg from sliding all the fuck around and shit? Do you pull with any force on it ever? My recommendation is you need a mat under it as well.
Also, that bit of foam rubber under your weights isn't going to do shit for that floor the first time you drop something heavy.
Don't fuck up your mom's house man, not cool.

Outdoor homegym master race checkin in
>>38987275
oh word, still its probably a good idea to not have it stacked when im at work and stuff right? i leave hte 25 lbs plates so i can do high rep sets through out the day in when on off days.
you're right about wanting more space; it doable but can get cramped. i should be moving to a bigger apartment soon enough though.
>>38987292
i dunno mate, i row 10k a day 6 days a week at 2:00. haven't had a problem with it moving around so far. i also up the resistance to 10 even though that's a bad idea for endurance stuff just to get more of a strain going.
im on first floor and but the landlord's complained about me possibly breaking the wood floor lol
>>38987317
Also sometimes use this inbetween classes
>>38987317
Ghetto as fuck.
>>38987319
You can leave the plates on there. My 10kg barbell holds 120kg of plates (130kg/290lbs total) for months on end. It hasn't bent at all.
Don't do high reps on off days. Do cardio on off days. I lift 5x a week, so I do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach on my rowing machine on the off days.

>2017
>doing fasted cardio
Say goodbye to your gains bro.
>>38987352
I have a protein shake with some chocolate sauce before hand to preserve my gains. So I guess it's not true fasted.
http://www.bodybuilding.com/content/the-myth-of-cardio-before-breakfast-debunked.html
>>38987335
my current routine is 5k row in the morning, either a 5k row in the evening or a 4 mile run followed by lifting routine A or lifting routine B.
and basically ABxABx over and over for lifting. and only resting from row/run on the second rest day from lifts.
my 5k's are usually 1:50-2:00 so not like blazing fast or anything but decent pace to get a good sweat going. run at about 7-8 min miles.
>>38987377
That's good if you want to be a physique athlete. But you're doing too much cardio to build muscle.
>>38987335
Might be ghetto but it does its job : )
>>38987128
do you get any profit?
>>38987389
im lifting a LOT and eating a lot also, with the cleanest diet i can think of. i might tone it down in the future, im hoping that my body adjusts to the point where that little cardio is nbd and is just like a morning jog. i think i just have the worst case of quarter life crisis and just want to burn out every day desu
>>38987414
Yeah they give me like a gram or 2 of good hydro weed.
>>38987423
You've turned into a cardio bunny. Cut back on the cardio and burn yourself out in the gym with an intense 18 sets of 6 rep heavy compound lifts. In under 45 minutes.
I did this routine yesterday in under 45 minutes:
Thursday: Upper Body and Abs
Incline Barbell Bench Press 3x8-10
Barbell Curl 3x4-6
Close Grip Bench Press 3x4-6
Incline Dumbbell Curl 3x4-6
Seated Triceps Press 3x4-6
Incline Situp 3x8-10
>>38987484
haha thats true im spending about an hour a day rowing with about another 1-1.5 hours of lifting
everyone i know keeps telling me that im over doing everything and don't rest enough. i only sleep 6 hours a day on average =(

I hate those adjustable benches for doing flat bench because my ass just sinks into the crevice. It's hard to get a good arch and use hip drive to bench. You ever have any trouble with that?
Aren't you a little uncomfortable having weights right next to your computer? That huge monitor looks expensive.
