i use gloves for the exact reason that most people need to avoid them.

they don't help with grip at all and they don;t help with hand care, so throw those ideas out the window now.

the only thing gloves actually do practically is increase the effective circumference of the bar by providing more shit to squeeze your hand/fingers around. i have a pull up bar in my home gym made from an old shitty skinny barbell and i use gloves to make it feel as thick as a regular oly bar, lol. outside of that reason there is literally no function gloves can satisfy.
