Just started getting a lot stronger, got my life together, lost all my excess fat, starting to look so much better, progressing on all of my lifts, playing basketball frequently and getting a lot better at it as well.
Then fucking get hit real hard yesterday in a basketball game and get a stage 2 AC separation, so I have to sit out from ball and any upper body stuff at the gym for 2-4 weeks. Fuck this shit. I know it's not as bad as some people get it, but man injuries are so fucking awful to deal with, especially when it wasn't really my fault to begin with
Looks like I'm only going to be getting some real nice legs after these 2-4 weeks though

>he think the ride is gonna end
Damn dude, just remember 2-4 weeks is better than a lifetime of pain. Keep it easy and heal up

Old guy here. I just got done rehabbing a compound knee ligament injury I sustained playing soccer. I have some weight to lose.
A lot better than dealing with going to snap city. I went there July 2015 and just got back June 2016
>2-4 weeks
boo fucking hoo gaylord

>hurt my back on cleans
>hasn't healed in 5 weeks
>can lift without pain but
>back aches throughout the day
did i go to snap city?
Will this heal on its own..getting worried

Did you take any time off from the gym? I mean completely off?

Bad form, too heavy weight, improper warmup, weak core, or some combination of them all.

I took the first and third week off and on other weeks went a little lighter and less volume. Resting didnt seem to make it better or worse. Should i have shut it down?

That's what you get for playing silly niggerball games
Anon, on the real, you're really lucky you didn't completely break any bones & id say the most traumatic injuries would be tearing a pectoral muscle (aesthetic & lifting reasons), or tearing your ACL or MCL, cuz well yeah. 2-4 weeks is nothing, will give you time to focus on other important areas of your life. Just be grateful it wasn't worse, I'd say you got off rather lucky compared to some. Stay motivated & work your way back up to the level of fitness you were trying to achieve. Positivity & staying active will help your body heal quicker as well.
