Look at what you typically eat in a day, plug it into a tracker like MFP, see where you need to go(ie. decrease sugar/salt, increase protein/fat are common issues), and figure out what kind of foods you like that will be able to make up the difference. Make some more complicated foods on the weekend and easier foods as you go along.

there's an app called myfitnesspal, you basically log every single thing you eat. it's daunting and I had an internal struggle with doing it for 2 months. even made a thread talking about how fucking stupidly time consuming that'd be when I had just started out, but yeah you get used to it.

you should weigh everything and put log them before making the food. make it like a step 1 of the food preparation. the app is pretty widely used and its database is insane and it has a barcode reader, so you can pretty much scan all ingeridents and put in the weight and you're set

Yeah, my advice is buy a cheap $20 food scale, weigh out the spaghetti, cook
weigh/measure out the sauce
weigh out the meat
Pretty much every brand you could imagine is in there, and thanks to the recents tab any food you eat a lot will always be there. Plus you can add recipes so if you make the same meal over and over you only need to plug in the food once.

Nail down your everyday staples first. Bowl of OATZ when you wake up, maybe a morning shake if that's your style, your FOUR SCOOPS CMON of whey post workout, quark/tvorog/Greek yoghurt at the end of the day for dat dere casein, whatever you know is good for you to have frequently.

Then fill in your remaining macros and vitamins from there.
