I've been reading a ton of stuff on how alcohol can affect your gains. The only things i can seem to find is a 20% decrease in test, and that you wake up late and have less motivation. Those 2 things don't seem bad to me, what about functioning alcoholics? They won't miss meals and still pump iron.. is there any good reasons to think beer affects gains?
When there is alcohol in your system your body will concetrate on synthesize the alcohol, so any protein you have consumed will go to waste.
Your body absorbs 60% less amino acids when you drink
So ideally it's fine if you eat 60% above your macros and supplement with aminos.

If you need a vice, weed is probably better than alcohol for a lifter.
Also if cutting your body burns the acetate before it burns fat. If you eat greasy pizza with your alcohol then your body doesn't burn that greasy pizza it burns the alcohol and that pizza is deposited as fat
