My grips have been failing me on diddlys the past 2 weeks. I don't really want to start using straps because I'm barely past 2 plates (4 weeks into the program).
I warmed up,and went up to 100kg (started with bar,1 plate,1.5 plates, then 2 plates). And my grip keeps failing me after 3 reps, regardless of the weight. I dropped the weight by 10kg failed. Another 10kg,plus hook grip. Nope.
Someone told me it was because of sweat, and that I needed chalk... but idk man.
>HELP
Chalk makes a big difference other than that stop being a bitch

>tfw same problem
Try mixed grip. If you are already, try chalk.

Use hook grip dummies
>>38892055
Get chalk

>person who cant hold onto a 100kg bar calling anyone a dummy
huutista
>>38892060
You think it's because I'm not using chalk?
>>38892073
Is that hook grip/alternate grip? If so then yes. I don't like to,but I did when my grip gave out,and it STILL gave out. What gives?
>>38892086
Mixed holds more than hook IMHO
>>38892086
mixed is stronger, and it doesn't cause calluses like hook grip does
>>38892093
I'm no op, dummy.
>>38892101
No. you're also risking tearing a bicep and potentially creating a muscular imbalance with mixed grip. Hook grip is superior.
>>38892079
How much did it help?
>>38892111
switch between sets to prevent imbalances, and bicep tears are extremely uncommon unless you have shit form or are on an insane amount of steroids
I have tiny bitch hands and 6" wrists and I think you just need to squeeze harder faggot.

I love this meme
Hook grip, and start rowing in ways that tax your grip more. Weighted carries as well
