afaik there is no negative health effect. But I guess health authorities don't like diet sodas very much because :
- it makes water taste bland when you are accustomed to it
- it has no health benefits like coffee and tea
- it has a high environmental cost
The only instance when I saw it recommended was for obese people in order to get rid of sugary drinks.
As for me I don't drink them because I don't want to give money to the companies partly responsible for the obesity epidemic.

I'm not sure what sweatener they use but you should google possible health ramifications from consuming it regularly in whatever quantity. If it has caffeine, caffeine has been shown to damage dendrites with long-term consumption and is still largly unknown. This is basically the difference between white bread and 100% whole wheat bread, where both net you so many calories and one has unhealthy flour where the other doesn't. Tea is healthier and plays nice with your body and Coke Zero won't, but if you just care about CICO then you're fine.
