Have any of you guys ran this routine before?
It dates back to the 60's.
Basically you do the program for 6 weeks training 3 times a day. That's 18 sessions in 6 weeks
You add 2.5kg (5bls) to the bar after every workout.
To work out your stating weight its just
18 x 2.5kg = 45kg
So you take your current 5RM and subtract 45kg.
So If I can squat 140kg for 5 reps I'll squat 95kg for a set of 20 adding 2.5kg every session for 6 weeks!

My brother mentioned something like this to me. Just the part about 20 reps and adding 5lbs per session. So last Tuesday I did 135lbs for 20, 155lbs for 15, 185lbs for 10. Like I said I didn't know how to find the starting #. My current 1 rep max is 235lbs at 165. All I can say is my legs where fucked and still have some pain today, a portion is probably due to cutting and having a fucked sleep schedule due to getting called into work 2 extra days tho. I plan on doing it when I start to bulk here in a month, heard pretty good thinks about it.
Why would you knowingly turn t rex mode

Let us know about it, genuinely curious
I've tried it before. My biggest limiting factor wasn't my legs but rather everything else associated with simply holding that weight for that long - lower back, shoulders, etc. I found that I needed to rack the weight at about rep 15, literally just for like 10-20 seconds, at which point I was able to pick it back up and bang out the last 5.
