Hey /fit/ hurt my left lower back doing deathlifts a few weeks ago had the weights set up unevenly and platform was a bit fucked I jerked a bit to one side while lifting and felt a twinge wasn't a terrible pain and I thought I'd just rest it for a while but couple of weeks later now and not going away. what do? Is my best option doctor? physio? chiropractor?

Ask for a CT scan, that's the best way to determine if there's damage (moderate-to big) in your spine, or if it's just a muscular injury.
If the latter, you'll need a ECO scan to further assess the extent of the injury, but is usually easier to overcome.
Source: 3 fractured discs on an accident several years ago.

tried hammy and piriformis stretches?
failing that, straight to the doctor, let them signpost you to physios/chiropractors if you even need them.

Stretching helped me. I also stopped doing DL, not interested in getting hurt.

Not to hijack your thread OP, but I jsut wanted to ask if any anons know good Physio workt outs to strengthen the exterior and superior muscles of the knee. (Have weak ligament which has been my main deterent from sport and excercise)
I already do; pushing knee towards ground with outstretched leg, pushing against a wall away from yourself (Left leg left, right leg right) and doing leg reps with random weighted items.

>piriformis
I actually haven't I'll start looking into stretching routines now,
Thanks for the responses all. The health system in my country isn't the best and I'm trying to think of the most efficient way to go about it I think doctor and probably a CT can will have to the way foreword,
If it's not too serious does lower back pain just "go away" or is that naive?

if it's muscular, will go away eventually. Not recommended anyway

Ask at the /run/ general

Alright, thank you.
>have hurt my back on every exercise in the gym
>bench, pull ups, squats, shrugs, you name it.
>except Deadlifts
>she is my bae
>last night
>going heavy
>warmup felt wrong but kept going
>completed 5x5 easy
>decide to try one more even heavier
>bar goes up
>hear snap in lower back
>mfw
>bar goes down
I missed work, the painkillers aren't doing much, I am skipping gym today, but the worst part is I feel betrayed.
It's my fault really, for not respecting her.

It wasn't the deadlift's fault, I never claimed it was. It was mine.
