I played it on the hard difficulty and after level 7 or so when you get the infinitely replenishing health regen there's zero challenge. even then it could've been fine if it wasn't so fucking repetetive. games don't have to be super difficult to be fun but fighting in witcher3 felt like following a flowchart.

and the fucking "oils" which are supposed to make the combat more ""deep"". there's literally one for each enemy. is your enemy a humanoid? use humanoid oil. is your enemy a ghost? use specter oil. is your enemy a spider? use arachnoid oil etc etc. there's never any decisions to be made it's just a way to force you to go into the inventory menu every 20 hits to click on something where you have no choice. a truly genius mechanic.

I'd like to experience the story but frankly I'd rather use that time to do something that doesn't feel like a chore.
