I've been trying to make my limp noodle forearms bigger, but i hate doing wrist curls and other meme forearm workouts. Would hanging from a bar till failure work well as a forearm workout or is that just an autistic idea?

I think the inherent instability and dynamic movement of say, an atlas stone, produces more growth than regular easy to hold dbs or a bar.
also lots of volume, old guys with huge forearms probably did HOURS of manual labor, thousands upon thousands of reps 7x weekly

End every workout with a grip finisher. Pick up the heaviest dumbbells you can and just hold them as long as you can. Do a few sets of that, until your forearms are throbbing. You can do the same by hanging off a pullup bar or just holding a 225 pound barbell as long as you can or holding a plate in each hand. Just make sure they're burning when you're done.
