how do i fix my grip? It fails at 245 deadlift mixed grip and 225 hooked. Its stopping me from progressing. should i just give up an get straps
Farmer's walks
Rack pulls
Lift more
Don't be a faggot
>be me
>first exercise on back day is barbell rows, 225lb 3x10
>after that come dumbbell rows, pull ups, close grip pull ups
>last exercise is deadlift
>have to use straps for 245lb
Lel, I don't even give a fuck
>>38807110
>last exercise is deadlift
lmao what the fuck are you doing
How can you fail with a mix grip. The bar literally rolls into your hand
>>38807119
a routine that focuses on hypertrophy of muscles that matter to me the most
>>38807129
the bar just rolles out of the hand thats in hooked position and i just cant hold it
>>38807173
You sound weak asf. I was pulling 150kg off the floor at 15 with mixed grip
>>38807173
Use chalk
Make sure you're wrapping your hands correctly around the bar
Do other lifts that will promote better grip
Keep working at it until you can move on yo more weight
chalk adds upwards of 10kg IMO
that said if your deadlift is anything less than 255 with straps, grip isn't your problem, weakness is.
Warm up double overhand until you have to switch to mixed. Or try hook grip, it's almost impossible to fuck it up.

>hook grip,
i feel like i can deadlift way more than 245 if it wasnt for it slipping from my hands. after like 3 or more reps it just gives
>>38807266
Take a few seconds to reset your grip between reps then.

No one cares.
>>38807034
Tried white knuckling?
>>38807034
Use chalk dumbass.
first of all i don't understand how the fuck your grip fails with mix grip at any weight. i have baby hands but i can still pull 315 with mixed no problem. and if it's stopping you from progressing deadlift then just use straps
chalk, OP
