Hi /fit what deadlift grip do you use? Been on SS for a month and my squat is same as deadlift because deadlift grip is weak stuck at 200 lbs
Rippetoe says to avoid mixed grip and I've read hook grip is to be used for one or maximum two reps
What grip do u use and what weight do u deadlift?

overhead.
and i usually deadlift 115lbs
I'd say keep going with with overhand for as long as you can. If you do use mixed grip, alternate it so you don't create imbalance
Hook or mixed grip in case I don't feel like destroying my thumbs that day. Or straps if I'm feeling like being memed.
Don't let anyone talk shit on straps. They're a useful training tool

So basically
>Overhand and hook for warm-up sets
>Alternating mixed grip for heavy work sets.

No, use double overhand grip until you can't anymore. Can't you read?
Clarence Kennedy pulled 300kg raw double overhand, surely y'all can do the same with weight under 200kg if you try hard enough, make sure you try chalk before moving on to straps/mixed grip.

That's hookgrip. No one pulls significant weight with DOH since it's a weaker way to grip the bar that limits you.
