No, I definitely am doing it correctly - I mostly weightlift so I my form has to be good depth and high bar to train for that.
My quads are much more dominant than my glutes. They are relatively big, they are just not aesthetic at all, just like a scaled up OPs pic.

It's actually not that bad, and probably stronger than you. I see plenty of guys much weaker than me who look infinitely better, bigger muscles, more defined etc. I've come to the conclusion that most of how you look, past a certain level of fitness, is down to genetics.
