What do you think about weighted back extension as a sort of substitute for DL, since DL is causing me lower back pain.
>Muh form is gud
Your DL form is shit

i get the pain after the dl, not during it
>>38703568
i wouldn't do it since its not really a substitute for DL also it (the back extention) might damage your spine in the long term
Now I'm not certain because I'm not a professional and have no personal experience in this exercise but if deadlifts are hurting you then these back extensions look like they will fuck you up harder.

If it's your spine your form is shit
If it's the muscles it's normal, add frequency

>an exercise that strengthens your back muscles with little stress
>"might damage your spne"
Shut the fuck up retard.
If you want to substitute deadlifts you need farmers walks/shrugs (traps), back extensions and leg curls of some kind (better off with 1 leg RDLs or leg curls on a swiss ball/trx though). But first off I would try to look at WHY your back hurts from DLs if you do them with good form+right weight. Overextending/rounding over? Shifting to one side? If there is some fundamental problem like an problem with alignment you will still fuck up your back with eg back extensions, it will just take longer because of lower weight/resistance.

My pain is coming from the lowest part of lower back muscle..

Thank you my man, that makes much sense.
I've noticed that the bar scratched only my right lag and my left lower back muscle is actually bigger. Does that make any sense?
