Probably not, unless your goal is to train purely for the purpose of preventing injury. It's as good as any calisthenics program.

Unless you obviously train 5 hours a day, 6 days a week. And the best you may get is something something ottermode.

Hitting a gym is over 9000 times more convenient (as per time required to train and per results you can unlock)

Chances are you're a novice DYEL. Many of us started doing jedi workouts in momma's living room. You will realistically go nowhere. Subscribing and going to a gym will do lead somewhere, if you'll be consistent obviously.

Don't waste time, start with the right choice. The gym.

You need things like a lot of stretching for some exercises but this book doesn't mention

No, surely it's not. You'll avoid mistakes and poor form. You really need to hit a fucking gym if you can't do a push up. Pull ups will come later on.
You don't have to be this tall or this strong to start hitting a gym. Highly beneficial compound exercises for total novices like you (FINALLY stimulating your CNS) will be performed at the gym, not in your bedroom

Because he will waste more time watching youtube videos and reading infographics than doing it. You don't need a degree to do a fucking push up, if he can't do it chances are he's either obese or really weak. The sooner he commits to proper training, the better. Subscribing to the gym is a greater commitment than doing a google search.
