Not for CRNAs that do anesthesiology. Used to have anesthesiologists in each OR. They're now figuring out it's easier to pay a nurse with advanced training to do the intubation and induction and shit, and sit there and watch the monitors. You can pay a dozen of these to do the easy shit, then have one anesthesiologist supervising them, who actually steps in when shit hits the fan. Just like PAs and APNs are going to take over the majority of mundane outpatient care shit, but have supervising doctor step in when it turns out to be more than strep throat or otitis media.

i'm a forensic investigator for an undisclosed state in the US. My boss is a medical examiner (forensic pathologist), and I myself want to be one, but its far from the most fit specialty. It's usually an associate degree program that lets you graduate with the license. My school had a fast track program that let me get my associates + license followed by another year and a half for my BSn.

the work difficulty varies depending on your work setting; retirement homes and small time clinics are pretty easy since most of the clientele are at least functional and cooperative if you have a silver tongue. Only downside is the support structures tend to be limited so you'll often find yourself filling the role of a few different employees. During my time I did a lot of RN related activity like giving meds, checking blood sugar, etc etc.

In bigger hospitals you get more interesting stuff going on but fuck the paperwork is a nightmare sometimes. Everything needs to be documented and new inpatient evaluations take a few hours out of your day. It's a lot of fun but when it gets bad, you'll have your share of sleepless nights.

Wish I went down the medicine pa try h. But no stupid me, had to go down the Geology path. Although Geology ain't bad, part of me always questions, why I did it.

Pharmacist here, it's a very anti-fit profession. Sit or stand all day depending on if you go retail or hospital, but little movement overall. People always bring in shit like candies and cookies. Lots of retail pharmacists don't even take a lunch so they just eat whatever junk is on hand/easy to eat while working.

I'm doing my best to avoid these pitfalls, have actually lost a lot of fat and put on some muscle since I graduated.

Nurse anesthetist is my goal career. Anesthesiology is the most alpha medical field desu. Compared to most wards and nursing homes you're more involved in the clinical care and observation of the patients which is what I find interesting. None of that endless charting - it's all either very short or orally communicated as the patients are transferred. No more spending a significant number of time in front of the computer writing about every little thing that happened.

And also I get to work with all the qt anesthesiologists at the regional hospital.
