Got a cool pal with a 350lb live-in pet sow. He's friendly and chill and takes care of himself but somehow embedded with this abrasive heap of Hutt.

I'm 6'4". Im still quite fat. But i have lifted and built alot of muscle in the past. Then got caught in a powerlifting permabulk that continued after i stopped lifting and really caught up when i hurt my back at work.

Yeah, i hit about 305lbs. Then just up and decided i cant let this happen (again) andi changed the next day, that so happen to be the 1st of july. I only count my start day as the 4th of july, but now i am currently down to 260lbs. I think im on a good path since its barely been over 2 months. Been steadily coming down from 250, currently 217, lift and do cardio 3-4 days a week.
Cutting and lifting are so accessible, the basics are really simple and can take you far, there are so many good resources available to build your knowledge on and make greater progress toward whatever goals you have.
But leave it to the waddling masses of complacency and denial to perform feats of mental gymnastics to make all of this impossible for themselves.
I think I need to stop giving a fuck though, better to just focus on my own progress.

Interestingly I think I read somewhere that non anglo culture Europeans (dunno about elsewhere) have an easier time to stop drinking because it is culturally seen as a personal defect rather than a Demon That Haunts And Possesses Men and, simply because it isn't seen as something incredibly hard and therefore not shameful to fail at, people stop drinking themselves to death at a slightly higher success rate.

I can confirm that at least in The Netherlands that is largely true. People are more willing to admit that something is their own fault than in Anglo culture, at least in the non-tumblr generation. I BUY their first session to go to the gym (only £4), I start off with 10 minutes of light cardio on the excercise bike followed by a quick run through of some resistance machines on the lowest weight to see what they like, followed by another 10 minutes of cardio on the rowing machine.

Overall, about 45 minutes of gym time and enough to give them a decent grasp of all the fun things to do at the gym.

I'm not even pushing them that hard but they're not getting any enjoyment out of anything. It's gotten to the point where I just don't bother anymore with helping friends because they're only going to let me down.
