Meme routine made by a DYEL internet marketer
Pretty much a tried and true routine by now

When should you stop greyskull and what should you move to?
Been doing 5x5 for 3 months now. Gained quite a lot of strength actually, so its definitely not a meme. Also, doing those heavy lifts makes you feel awesome and you can look down upon the pussies doing 20 rep dumbbell curls. Problem: I was doing heavy overhead press, and fucked my lower back area because my form broke down in the last set. Haven't been able to do a single lift for over a week now. So, make sure your form is top notch while lifting heavy, and stop at the slightest feeling of discomfort.
Also, cycling 5x5 with a hypertrophy routine from time to time works wonders.

>definitely not a meme, except I can confirm it doesn't work because fatigue accumulation and motor pattern deterioration due to the very high volume for a beginner caused me an injury
Also
>novice looking down on anyone
Please don't post again unless you lift

>rows over power cleans (I'm not comparing it to SS, mehdi himself is, go to the rows section of his site)
>rows over the superior in every aspect chunups
>deadlifts after 5x5 squats
It is okayish for a beginner, but there are way better programs out there. Phrak's GSLP or SS for example. Candito's UL is nice too.
Focus on learning proper form on the big 3+OHP
do your chin ups
don't go ham on the volume before you are certain your form is on point and you are stalling despite eating and sleeping and deloading right
don't go too light either, you want to actually provide training stimulus

its mentioned in the sticky and very similar to SS (just like most beginner routines). plenty of people here started with SL. theres nothing wrong with it.

I never heard of GSLP, did SL for a while. After a few months I self-modified SL into a regimen that was basically GSLP.
TLDR: Do GSLP

Good routine, got me to just under 3pl8 squat in around a year. Can't fault it, plus the apps good as well. Don't forget the accessories and you're golden.
