This is insane. Eddie mentioned wanting to do 500kg when he broke Bennidikt Magnusson's world record a year or two ago, like 460 kg. And I thought "nah, probably not gonna happen, or if it does, it'll be 10 years from now."
I remember Eddie Hall breaking into the Strongman scene as a rookie. It's been unreal watching him accomplish these feats in such a short period of time.

He held it at the top, too. Way longer than he needed to, to technically break (shatter) the record. Just to make the point. Always the showman, Eddie.
Oftentimes in strongman, you see guys getting bloody noses from deadlifts. The strain pops blood vessels in the sinuses. But after this lift, Eddie had blood coming from his nose, and his mouth.
Absolutely insane feat. I didn't think it would happen, and I've been a fan of Eddies for awhile.

Compared to today's strength athletes, his numbers are not impressive.
But hey it's like that with all disciplines. Who knows how the drug aspect is influencing the increasing performances, as well.
