OPs post aside, there are people who think like that.
My sister is one of them and angers me the most. She's fat as hell. Always talks about eating clean and meal prep and going to those "boot camp" workouts and stuff but always ends her days with either liquor, sweets, or a bunch of fried food.
She always asks why she isnt losing weight and when confronted with the truth of "youre not eating right" and "youre not exercising enough" she goes on a tirade and gets mad about it.
I stopped giving her advice and shes fatter than ever. My sister is in her 30s and alone. Shes going to be a cat lady.

Nah. He could make it.
I started out walking for 12 minutes at like 2 miles an hour. I did that for a week.
Then I increased it to 12 minutes at 2.3 mph.
Then 15 minutes and so on.
Now I go for 50 minutes at 4mph.
There's nothing wrong with building up to a real workout.
