Bunch of fatasses on this board that are about to code if they can't lose some weight
ask a software "engineer" who works at a startup anything.

Look at a youtube tutorial, assign projects to yourself

>>38573631
How is it going? My friend and I want to run a start up but it's hard when we don't know what to actually make.
>>38573579
Depends on what you want to make. Your best bet is to find what you want to build, research the best language to use for it, and then just buy a book and use online documentation and tutorials and dig in.
Over all I'd suggest starting with a scripting language like python/javascript and then going onto something like c#/java/C++/C

I'm a security engineer and do scripting/light programming but I wish I could do more with programming. Me being in this field though, I know people in the NSA, and they actually know Edward Snowden, from the rumors about the guy he is actually a dick.

Watch Thenewboston's tutorials on python, they're pretty good for beginners.
