I just moved to NYC from Australia, apart from wholefoods and trader joe's, where's the best place to get groceries? Where are the cheapest bulk options?

The best places to get things in bulk are Sam's Club and Costco, but you have to pay a membership for those places. Other than that just go to any supermarket or wal-mart

Hit up the ethnic markets for good cheap veg. I just bought a weeks worth of fresh veg for $15. Same stuff I would have bought at whole foods too.

Are there any Martin's in NYC? I live in PA and I like to shop at Martin's or Giant Eagle.

Farmers markets are also a great place to get cheap veggies. They usually have great prices and if you buy regularly they'll give you better deals
Farmers market ya fuckin druggo.
Trader Joes is probably the cheapest super market.
Sometimes the random markets have decent sales like keyfood or ctown. Just go with the flow.
Honestly its so easy to make money in nyc that you shouldnt worry too much about food price.

Cotco
Probably local ethnic markets and mom and pop stores. That's how it is in Chicago at least
Manhattan Chinatown has crazy cheap prices. Some cuts of chicken are as cheap as 59 cents a lb. 10 lbs for 6 dollars is unbeatable.
