I'm an AB routine and feel like I'm coming to the end of my linear progression.
I'll milk the LP gains for as long as I can.
I'm in my 40's so I do 1 on 2 off to help with recovery when needed.
What would be a good intermediate progression to use on this style of routine?
A: Front squat 2x8, Floor press 3x5, barbell rows 3x5
B: Trap bar deadlift 1x5, shoulder press 3x5, chins 3x5

Just roid retard
So no one on fit knows about periodization.

I knew you were 40 before I even read your post

It's none of our business
you guys are useless
Just cycle your reps between workouts, DUP style.
Front Squats can be 2x8 one workout, 3x5 the next and then 5x2 in the third
Floor Press do 3-5x5, 5x3, 8x2, with a long pause at the bottom.
Rows, Pressing& Chins could do 4x8 in the first workout, 3x5 and 1x8 in the second then 5x3 in the third.
Trap bar DLs, you could do 1x10, 1x6-8, 2x3 across the three workouts.
Then every fourth workout you could do a deload, and after a few cycles have a go at maxing

Would also add that if you're over 40, look up brooks Kubik, he writes good stuff for older lifters. Take care of yourself man

Thanks for a decent answer.

I've read Brooks's Dinosaur Training book. It seems volume is the enemy of the older lifter, hence my 3 exercise routine and no extra isolation work.

Have you read his Grey hair and black iron? I'm not yet categorizing myself in the target demographic (older lifters) and so haven't read it, but I rate him highly enough to suggest it may be worth a look, for more indepth informaton specific to you. I don't think it would diverge a long way from the example DUP template, but I'm sure he would be able to make recommendations which would help

Thanks for the heads up about it, I'll take a look at the book. DUP looks good, but the idea of tracking 3 different rep ranges in the same schedule seems a pain lol
