Is it acceptable to just front squat instead of back squat?

Front squats are more beneficial to athletes. Also, they still give you a great glute workout out if you do them correctly even though they emphasis on the quads. I switched to front squats after years of back squats and the strength/coordination/mobility gained has transmitted so much better to other lifts and movements. I still do back squats like once a month, but front squats will always be my main squat for now on.

Front squats and sumo deadlifts (and super back-arch bench) are the bitch-out option for avoiding the strain of real lifting.

Front squats do not carry the same fear as back squats. There is something primal and instinctive that makes having a heavy-ass weight on your back both physically and mentally challenging. Front squats remove the mental side of it, which is half of why squats are worth doing in the first place.

Yeah, but if you don't back squat at all I don't think you'll be adding much thickness to your legs. Your quads will be huge though.

Requires more core stability (thus working your core more efficiently). Requires more thoracic extension, thus improving your posture and also develops your upper back and shoulders better. Also requires MUCH more mobility in your hips, ankles, and shoulders and keeps those joints mobile when done correctly. Front squats transition to Full Cleans and other clean variations as well. There is more but im at work and dont have the time, teach yourself to front squat properly my man you wont regret it
