So Im 34, in between jobs, 600 pounds. Ive basically decided either to lose weight or kill myself. So whats best for someone as massive as me?

Literally all you have to do at that weight to lose fat is just eat less. The amount of calories to maintain there is fucking insane. Just stop eating. Even eating twice the amount a normal person eats, you'd still be eating at a deficit from what you currently are.
Through in walking a set amount daily, maybe some light weight work (too much and you might give yourself a fucking heart attack), and you'll just straight up melt the fat off.
It's honestly way more difficult to stay that weight than it is to lose weight.

Replace your food addiction with something else like videogames. Please note I said "replace" and not "supplement". The "how" of this situation is that you're eating too much. The food you consume sustains this fatty storm of flesh that's parasiting your existance. I can't answer why you eat too much, what fuels your addiction, maybe you've got abandonment issues or you're unfulfilled by your daily activities, but I can say that you eat too much.

Don't be asking /fit/ for serious advice, at your weight, you should be working with your doctor to help with your weight loss. But definitely start learning about calories, as they play the biggest part in your weightloss journey.

every time you eat something write it down. I promise you by the end of the day you'll be amazed by how much you really eat. cut out half the things on your daily list.
once you've done that for a couple of weeks start eating brown rice, broccoli and lentils, that will fill you up for longer on less calories.
Weight will start coming off really fast. Once you feel up to it start light excersise.
Also cut out soda or at least switch to diet soda. You'll cut out hundreds of calories from every day and you'll barely notice.
Good luck - this will be hard but you can do it.

Eat 3 regular size meals a day (700 cal roughly) with no snacks or drinking anything other than water until you are small enough to start exercising, then start doing that. Repeat until 200 pounds.

Read the sticky. It has awesome advice. Start a cut. I'm guessing you're not disciplined at all, so start a cut at 200 cals deficit per day.

Right now, even a fucking minute decrease in food or increase in exercise will do wonders. If you can, go on slow walks or strolls 3 times a week. Even a slow hobble for 10-15 minutes. Whatever you can do.

If you can't manage that, clap in time to music. I'm not even kidding, it worked for some moron on tumblr as that initial start. To move up from that, windmill your arms in slow circles forwards, then backwards, then in opposite directions for a minute each.


I'm praying the 3rd paragraph will be unecessary.

this is terrible advice. first off a really strict diet like keto for someone just starting off is a good way to break their will and turn them into a "I tried everything" faggot, and there's no real reason to do keto when you can eat 4kcal a day and still shed weight.
also only eating one shake a day is terrible for you. vitamins won't cover your nutrition and your body will go into starvation mode, your metabolism will screech to a halt and your body will break down your muscle first. and since your already feeling lightheaded and faint then you are already there.
