I've been using it for about 6 years just to keep the hair I already have and it's been great. My brother is 3 years older than me and has been bald for a while without using it. I've never noticed side effects from Rogaine but when I tried proscar it obliterated my test and took me over a year to recover back to normal levels. Never again.

The 'recommended' dose for me is ~11mg, I take 20mg currently, and gonna up it again to 25mg in a week. The first time I took it, and whenever I up my dose I feel a lil queesy that day, a lot of people compare the feeling to the flu (people who have never had the flu).
My normal heart rate is about 75, and it jumps up to ~100 when I increase, but just for that day. The next day/near the end of the first day i'm feeling back to normal.
Oh and i'm naturally hypotensive (low bp) and now it's up to normal, even on days that I forget to take it. The bp boost has lasted for at least 3 days while not taking it.
