How did this gay shit become so popular?

So housewifes, homosexuals, trannies, feminists and other middle aged woman can feel good about themselves and tell everyone they go to the gym and exercise.

This has been happening for decades. A fitness fad comes along, sweeps the nation, then goes straight to the dustbin. A couple of years later another charismatic snake steps up and sells a new fad. Jazzercise. 8 minutes abs. Tae Bo. Rinse and repeat.

It's still excercise bro.
I don't practice it, hate it or like it. But saying it isn't some sort of execise is a fucking elitist attitude.

I wouldn't know, anon. Never done it but it sounds like a very mild, like walking.
It is what it is. God speed to anyone who does it instead of being a fatass.

Its a litteral variation of aerobics.
As little excercise as it is, it is better than not doing nothing and hell, if the person enjoys it it is more possible that they stick with a routine and change for the better in condition and appearance.

I don't think it's terrible. It's just cardio.
I used to do it along with lifting a few years back as my cardio just because it was more fun than running or using the elliptical for half and hour.
The only real reason I stopped was because the fun instructor quit.
It raised my heart rate, I sweat a lot, and I lost a good 15 pounds from doing that almost everyday.
There are the fat/old/lazy ladies who don't push themselves, but as long as you do and keep up it's not a bad workout.

Because people are stupid

Looking at this picture, I count 5 men in this whole crowd.

This.
If you're working as hard as the instructor it's not bad at all. I've seen some instructors incorporate squats and lunges and stuff into their dances. Combined with the constant moving it's a fine work out.
But it's mostly just women that half-ass it and use it as an excuse to buy workout clothes and say they went to the gym

I think Richard Simmons and sweating to the oldies was the first iteration? Dunno if there was anything before him.
Hot new upcoming thing:. Hot Yoga.
Wait a minute. There's, like, no white people in that picture. I thought Zumba was for white women. Did Tumblr lie to me?
