Opinions on German Volume Training? I'll start a six week 10x10 program on monday after training mostly strength for roughly 2 years, now I'm really just looking for mass for the rest of this year.

german volume training is good if you have lots of time and you want good hypertrophy gains without sweating or getting exhausted at the gym. it will get you sore but you will be able to do it even while tired,unlike strength programs like 5x5 that need you focused and well rested to complete the reps safely.
i definitely recommend it if you dont care about strength anymore.

I do 5/3/1 GVT at 60% then other shit. I'm in cycle though. I wouldn't recommend for people off cycle, I tried before and it was hell. Still is desu. Recovery is pretty hard from it, maybe if you ONLY did GVT and nothing else.

I don't know if it's still GVT if you only do it for 1 exercise, but that seemed to be the best compromise for me. Couple of heavy lifts, GVT for an accessory, then just light 3x15-20 for light isolation stuff. Just make sure you don't need to use that muscle group again for a day or so
