So I just started Jujutsu, I have never been in a proper fight and don't seek confrontation but I realised that if I do get into a fight I think I would just freeze up and not know what to do due to my lack of desensitization to violence. And the way Europe is going very quickly south I want a way to quickly and simply put down and enemy aggressor. I also value the fitness and discipline it delivers and think everyone should learn a Martial Art at least for the latter two reasons.
Does anyone else here train in the 'gentle technique' and have any tips or sources for helpful material?
Also general martial arts thread because I don't see them on here really but its very much a form of fitness training.

Ah its /asp/
Just checking it out now. Would still be good to know what /fit/ thinks about martial arts though.

/asp/ also known as /wwe/?

/asp/, but it's impossible to have semi-serious discussions on martial arts there. All they do is suck WWE dick and ironically recommend systema and Kung Fu.
Finally decided that I want to give a shot at an amateur match in BCMMA before the end of 2018. Wanna get that done before I'm 35 and TOO OLD.

/asp/ is anti Kung fu and anti Asian martial arts in general except for jujitsu
They're complete dumb meatheads and everything to them is
>prove it in the octagon bro!!!!11!

got myself a book of some guy who trained mma fighters.
contains workout regime, diet plans and some mental conditioning for a winning mindset.
it's pretty interesting

I'll look into it.
This is very relevant to /fit/ because its a way of mastering the body and mind beyond just strength and cardio exercises.
