I personally wouldn't advise it, the pain in your jaw is gonna throw you off especially if you clench your jaw like some guys do when lifting heavy, you may also be experiencing the effects of general anaesthetic if you are given it, which can cloud your mind.

kind of like different PL feds having different standards, the guys hitting 5-600 lb deadlifts, squats, and really heavy benches, if they are done under their sports organization or uni sports testing, will often do them under pretty lax standards.

Even in my brother's hs he said that there were tons of football players with 400-500 lb "squats," i.e. unracking the weight and bending their knees and reracking it.

so keep that in mind.

The strongest (and fattest) guys at my D3 school probably bench mid 300s, squat 400s not to depth, and they dont ever deadlift really but at least 400.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with switching over to Texas Method whenever you're ready.

You don't even have to wait for a stall. It's not like you're going to miss out on beginner gains or anything, that's kind of a stupid way to think about it.

Texas Method will be a good change of pace, and the variation will be a lot of fun.

Went to follow up appointment for chiro, they told me my spine is actually in really good shape except for my forward head posture and the fact that one side of my hip was sitting 11mm higher on one side, but that went to almost 0 with one adjustment so maybe I was just standing manually or something that first time.

The bad thing is that my L5 has shifted more posterior and that I have a little bit of PPT. When I get the x-rays in the email I'll post them so we can look at my hip structure together and see if I have deep or shallow hip sockets. It'll be fun. We can call it a date

Do the band stretch from this, use more resistance than his does so it's really pulling your leg, lift your leg up slightly and don't rest it on the ground.

When doing the band stretch, raise your leg slightly and keep it raised for as long as possible. Do it in both legs. Use a greater resistance than he shows in the video IMHO.

Both are great, at least for me in relieving pain

Do lots of reverse hypers, these WILL fatigue your deadlift though. I like to do 100-250 a session, however I am NOT deadlifting at all.

Take a week off or two deadlifting, seriously, DO NOT keep deadlifting, correct form when you get back into it. See if it still hurts and decide what to do from there. Don't max out unless you have to, never do it for fun.

Basically it seems wearing a belt doesn't prevent back injuries, but helps lower your risk or re-injuring a ore-existing back injury.

Learn to brace as well. Don't just inflate your stomach, that will fuck you up. You want to feel pressure and tightness in the lower back when bracing, before you pick anything heavy up.

I get pain when I hinge and pick up objects, Google the Valsalva manoeuvre and practise it. Once you get good at it try picking something up, you'll notice the pain is reduced significantly, or it should be if you're doing it correctly.

I'm glad, do them in place of deadlifts for a week or two. Do some at the begging of the session and do a lot at the end of the session. Maybe 2x20 at the start and 4-5x20 and the end? Your choice.

Lay off deadlifts for a while until you're pain free, you may be able to jefferson deadlift pain free, so if you're gonna ignore me and deadlift, at least do Jefferson deadlifts.

Research suggests it helps lower the chance of effecting a pre-existing injury. I'd strongly recommend belting up for everything at any weight of your choice. But learning the Valsalva manoeuvre is critical and you should practise doing it on everything you don't belt up. I understand bracing with the belt is slightly different.

Probably tightness, do those stretches, take a week off and when you deadlift again, don't max out, just slowly build up to a working set and see if the pain has continued.
